Pre Production For Your Film Shoot

To have a successful video production, it all starts with planning. In other words, it starts with a proper pre production plan.

Here are the steps we take as a videography company:

Estimate Costs and Make a Schedule

As a video producer, we get a budget from the client. Then we create a preliminary budget for the production. We estimate what it costs to hire crew, rent equipment, get talent and secure locations.

Then we estimate the number of days of production.

Finally, we estimate the extent of post production required to produce a final video. These costs will include visual effects, motion graphics, and color correction.

Create a Production Schedule

This means securing the location for the production days. Then we create a shot list so we know what shots to take and on what days.

We assess how many scenes can be shot per day, keeping in mind the general rule of one page of the script is equal to one minute of screen time.

Gather the Crew and Talent

Finally, we make calls on who would best fill what roles in the film production. These can include the cinematographer, B cam operators, sound, grips and local talent.

This process can be overwhelming if you are a business owner. That's why leave it up to us for your video production needs.
