How to Make Most Out of Your Corporate Video

Professional quality video production means shooting and editing with certain things in mind.

Here are ways to ensure you're making the most of your corporate videography:

Script your scenes

As a business or personality, you should know what you want to communicate to the world and/or to your customers. If it's an open documentary style video, then you can be more creative with the cinematography. Or perhaps it's just a straight, simple shoot (camera on a tripod).

If it's all about the sound bytes, then just script out what the interviewees are going to say. This helps save time and money.

Have multi-camera setup

This allows for various angles of footage. One can be a master shot with the subject and the background in view.

The other video camera can be used for more stylistic shots. It can be bokeh shots, where the subject is in view but the background is not. The second camera can be used for close ups. It can also be used for b-roll so the editor can cut away to vary up the footage.

In general, more than one camera is the way to go.

Keep it loose on the set

The stakes may be high, as the potential video could be seen by millions who spend hours on social media platforms.

But it's best to keep it loose. At 2Bridges, we engage with the interviewee, keep them smiling and laughing to keep the energy high on the set.

As the old saying goes, "smile for the camera" goes a long way to making a compelling video.
