Filming Outdoors in NYC

Bring chargers for batteries. Some DSLRs, in particular Sony cameras, use up battery power fast. Make sure to bring chargers so you can recharge batteries, and continue to have available fresh batteries all day.

You can use the many coffee shops and diners around town as a pit stop should you ever need to stop and recharge.
